The Daily Wire leadership team is expanding and we’re currently searching for a new Vice President of Direct Response to join our Marketing department and work from our newly developed offices in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee!

The Vice President of Direct Response will design and direct The Daily Wire’s efforts to significantly expand, engage and diversify our membership base in addition to supporting other business units within the company. This person will be responsible for the planning, management, development, growth, and budget across all channels. The ideal candidate is a creative, experienced marketer who is a skilled leader in both program and staff development. Being an expert in copywriting and having previous experience in fundraising inside the political arena will be an asset to a successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the execution of direct response marketing programs to support sales strategies and meet business, revenue, and profitability objectives
  • Development strategies, structure, and operating systems to achieve short-and long-term direct response membership and partnership campaigns, both through organic and paid marketing
  • Manages vendors and freelancers to ensure successful campaign execution
  • Serves as the primary lead on the direct marketing program’s budgeting process, monitoring program revenue and expenses, analyzing, and interpreting program results to consistently innovate and improve performance.
  • Assist sales in the development of creative for advertising partners; improve segmentation and messaging to optimize and maximize Ad Revenue partnership through email, informed by analytics
  • Conceptualize and execute the creative development for Direct-to-Consumer brands that will be part of The Daily Wire portfolio.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive successful end-to-end campaign execution.
  • Continually optimize direct response campaigns
  • Maximize revenue and ROI through analytics and reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

  • Nashville, TN -based position (working remotely is not an option)
  • 8+ years previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent people-leader skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Driven by successfully meeting hard-to-reach objectives
  • Resourceful with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced and high-energy work environment
  • Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • G-suite proficiency

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Employment type: Full-time; Exempt

Compensation: Dependent upon experience
