As a member of the Production Team, the Associate Producer will assist and support the Show Producers with general oversight of show production and serve as a liaison between multiple departments to ensure production work is delivered on-time and according to Company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Book guests, both day-of and in advance, for show segments as dictated by Producers
  • Research potential guests and pursue those approved by Producer
  • Maintain quality of graphics and playback used and created for daily shows
  • Arrange notes for the crew on new show media on a daily basis
  • Write introductions for guests (pending approval from Show Producer)
  • Research and prepare interview material for productions
  • Facilitate arrivals of in-studio guests for daily podcasts
  • Pitch creative solutions for show segments to Producers
  • Assist Producer in developing and coordinating the creation of additional produced segments for shows and Talent
  • Create tags, segment titles, and timecodes for assigned podcast episodes
  • Upload and deliver final exports for the weekend radio programming and promos as well as for other daily programming segments as needed
  • Ensure that ads are updated, on hand, and delivered to Talent
  • Travel as needed with various members of the Production team when shows and segments are remote to ensure high-production value and to manage all production needs while on the road
  • Create various daily and weekly show promos as needed
    • Pull green-lit selected lines from shows and mix them with the help of the audio department
  • Assist Producer in the coordination of pre-recorded content for a weekly ‘Weekend Edition’ show as well as occasional daily shows
  • Work alongside Producer to ensure all daily tasks across various departments are completed
  • Operate cameras during various shoots as needed
  • Assist Producer with various tasks as needed
  • Edit video content as needed using Premiere Pro
  • Assist Producer and Director in the setup and editing of shows
  • Schedule, set-up, and help in all areas needed for various shows
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction
  • Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
