The Daily Wire leadership team is expanding and we’re currently searching for a Vice President of Digital Engineering to join our DevOps department and work from our newly developed offices in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee!

The Vice President of Engineering leads the technical strategy, design, engineering, and overall execution for the Daily Wire digital platform and associated technical roadmap. Working in a shared-service capacity, the Vice President of Digital Engineering is responsible for the engineering and the platform supporting the entire digital landscape and user interface. Oversight includes proprietary web and mobile applications, CRM, web service integrations. This is a highly collaborative and visible role, working across organization to support the development and management of the digital roadmap, with direct accountability for software engineering and delivery of scalable solutions that enable digital marketing and ecommerce capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for scaling and delivering all digital channels, web, mobile app, Visio, Roku
  • Deliver robust, scalable, and reliable technology solutions enabling bespoke brand experiences in tight collaboration and partnership with business and product management stakeholders and executives
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and business teams to ensure alignment and prioritization of The Daily Wire platform and development of digital channels in a hyper-growth environment
  • Develop and execute digital platform rationalization strategy
  • Define and adhere to engineering best practices and guidelines that produce delivery excellence; embed Agile methodology to deliver quality solutions with high velocity
  • Define, implement, and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring engineering and delivery maturity, and strategic alignment with business objectives Oversee department budget and capital request processes and quality improvement activities
  • Attract, lead, coach, and develop technical engineering talent
  • Provide technical direction, guidance and hands-on management

Experience & Requirements:

  • Nashville, TN -based position (working remotely is not an option)
  • 10+ years previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Experience building successful digital platforms
  • Previous streaming experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think big picture to ideate new business opportunities and potential
  • Highly self-motivated and self-starting
  • Resourceful with a high sense of urgency
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to function independently
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced and high-energy work environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people-leader skills
  • Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • G-suite proficiency

Employment type: Full-time; Exempt

Compensation: Dependent upon experience
