The Daily Wire is looking for a Director of Ad Revenue to join our Ad Development team! The primary objective of the Director of Ad Revenue of Daily Wire will be to grow the company’s revenue across podcasts, web, email, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms, while maintaining brand integrity and user experience. Qualified applicants will have at least 3 years previous experience in a similar role, and exceptional negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.   • Effectively manage relationships with external sales partners, agencies, and advertisers to ensure that Company’s interests are properly represented
  • Supervise direct reports of the Ad Development department
  • Respond to requests from partners in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure that all advertising insertion orders, ad placements, ad copy, invoices, and podcast audience numbers are correct and optimized for performance
  • Listen to host ad reads and work with hosts on improvements as needed
  • Stay on top of industry trends and developments as it could relate to any aspect of Company’s podcasts/radio that can impact revenue
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Grow mobile/desktop/tablet CPMs and revenue on and other Company sites
  • Work with web development team and vendors to ensure that placements and content do not compromise user experience or Company’s reputation
  • Effectively manage relationships with vendors to advance Company’s goals relating to ad revenue and ad quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Monetize Company’s email lists through rentals and sponsorships, seeking to maximize revenue while not compromising brand or list health
  • Seek out and manage relationships with agencies and large clients who can drive large demand to Company’s email lists
  • Manage sales team and ensure that it is seeking out and capitalizing on any and all opportunities that would benefit the Company, in a manner that properly represents the Company’s interests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to be assertive and say ‘No’ when necessary when working through a deal
  • Demonstrated ability to think big picture to ideate new business opportunities and potential business-wide implications of any new initiatives while also functioning in a detail-oriented manner with day-to-day departmental duties
  • Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and invoices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with the podcast space and able to distinguish a strong ad read from one that is weak
  • Finance/Accounting background a plus
  • Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes a plus
