The Daily Wire is looking for an experienced and highly capable HR Leader to oversee and ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Human Resources department. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the Human Resources department
  • Act as direct supervisor to designated Human Resources team members
    • Supervise the work of direct reports and provide guidance and direction as needed
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support Daily Wire HR compliance and strategy needs
  • Develop and administer new and pre-existing procedures and policies to help align the team with the strategic goals of the Company
  • Oversee the administration of HR programs including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters and terminations; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; culture and retention
  • Develop, define and manage Daily Wire’s employer branding to successfully attract and retain top talent
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
    • Monitor and ensure Daily Wire compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices
    • Review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from Daily Wire HRIS (Namely)
  • Work closely with the FP&A team to develop, implement, and follow departmental budget
  • Design and direct Talent Development initiatives
  • Implement strategies that promote workplace safety
  • Support management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel
  • Maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits by anticipating and resolving litigation risks
  • Report to senior management as needed by analyzing data and using HR metrics
  • Oversee the Office Ops area including team social events and company functions
  • Monitor and help shape organization’s culture to attain company goals and promote employee satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

  • 7+ years previous HR experience
  • SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field a plus
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws and practices
  • Dedication to keeping up-to-date with latest HR trends and best practices
  • Ability to identify, shape, and promote corporate culture
  • Ability to stay calm and comfortable while working under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making and conflict-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with Namely (HRIS) a plus

  • Interest and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscape a plus
