The Daily Wire's Social Media team in Nashville is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Social Media Video Producer will oversee the creative and technical aspects of the video productions assigned to them, following the direction of the marketing leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who possesses strong creative instincts and videography skills, while also having experience and/or interest in video editing and social media content. Responsibilities:
- Develop, pitch, and produce one-off video concepts to grow audience size and revenue for Daily Wire shows
- Closely follow social media trends to develop high-performing video ideas
- Analyze video and channel data to evaluate content performance and identify content improvements
- Analyze the news cycle and popular/evergreen topics to create compelling video concepts
- Organize video shoots for social media video productions, including coordinating with other teams and external vendors when necessary
- Write scripts for original video content and/or work in-conjunction with script writers
- Execute technical aspects of original video productions
- Manage pre-allocated production budgets and tight timelines to produce cost-effective video content
- See the editing process through from start to finish by editing the original content into deliverable formats or by approving edits from other editors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Requirements:
- 2+ years of similar work experience in a professional production environment preferred
- Avid follower of news, politics, and cultural commentary across all media platforms
- Familiar with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and AfterEffects
- Working knowledge of video and sound editing
- Familiar with of all aspects of post-production for social media videos
- Strong instinct for social media video performance
- Some travel required (roughly once per quarter)
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- G-suite proficiency
